 Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is an extension of the faith formation of children enrolled in kindergarten through sixth grade. Scheduled in the evening hours from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for one week each summer, our faith comes alive in a way that appeals to children, with games and activities geared toward the teachings of our church. Snacks are also provided, and the week ends with a  pizza party.

In addition to our volunteer catechists, the teens of our parish contribute to the energy surrounding the theme of the program. Past themes have included: Marvelous Mystery - The Mass Comes Alive; Cool Kingdom Party - Mary Leads Us Closer to Jesus; Hometown Nazareth, Where Jesus Was a Kid; Panda Mania; High Seas Expedition - Exploring the Mighty Love of God; Weird Animals - Where Jesus' Love Is One-of-a-Kind, Serengeti Trek - Where Kids are Wild about God; Power Lab - Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power; and most recently, Digging for Treasure - Parables Revealed.

This year's VBS theme is inspired by Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' (On Care for Our Common Home).
Great Big Beautiful World is a fun-filled learning experience that invites children to see the ways God cares for the earth and challenges them to be part of caring for and preserving the created world. Children will participate through music, games, crafts and activities designed to help them discover God's deep love for all of creation, including each child.

Come, Join Us – There is so much to discover!
