Welcome to the St. Mary, Mother of God Parish website. This site is intended to help our web visitors become familiar with the spiritual life and service of our parish, which is located in rural northeastern Armstrong County. 

We are a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg, and a partner parish of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning.

Our parish was formed from immigrant families who settled in the towns of Margaret, NuMine, Rural Valley, Sagamore, and Yatesboro, over a century ago, to work in the coal industry. Building upon the foundation of those who have gone before us, we value our Catholic faith and tradition, our worship of God, especially through our celebration of the Eucharist, and our willingness to serve Christ by our love for one another.
