Welcome to St. Mary, Mother of God Parish
Mission Statement
We, the parishioners of St. Mary, Mother of God, Yatesboro, form a vibrant and Spirit-filled Roman Catholic community of faith in rural Northeastern Armstrong County, serving families residing in the surrounding towns.
Our parish was formed from immigrant families who settled in this area over a century ago to work in the coal industry. Building upon the foundation of those who have gone before us, we value our Catholic faith and tradition, our worship of God, especially through our celebration of the Eucharist, and our willingness to serve Christ by our love for one another.
