Who We Are and What We Do
As a 38-member court, we join with families in the celebration of their children's sacraments of initiation. Parents of newly baptized children are presented with handmade afghans and children's religious books. Gifts are also presented to candidates for confirmation and the First Holy Communion class.
To recognize our graduating high school and college students, a breakfast is held in their honor prior to the Graduate Recognition Mass. Our court also awards a scholarship to a high school graduate through an essay contest.
Members faithfully attend First Friday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as assist in leading Stations of the Cross during Lent.
During the Christmas season, members and friends of the court provide a needy family with Christmas gifts, food and clothing.
We sponsor several projects at our parish at different times during the year. In May, we support pro-life with a million rosaries for the unborn, and maintain the unmarked infant gravesites at St. Mary Cemetery with handmade wooden crosses and flowers.
In October, we distribute white ribbons against pornography to members of our parish family, and in November, a month-long "Pennies for Vets" collection is conducted with the proceeds donated to the nearby veteran's hospital in Butler, which are used for outings and various events for our veterans of war.
